On November 17, 2020, the Minister of State for Justice and Public Security published Ordinance No. 623, which provides for procedures for requesting Naturalization, Equal Rights, Loss of Nationality, Reacquisition of Nationality and Revocation of the decision to lose Brazilian nationality.
Among many novelties, it is worth mentioning that in order to computerize the procedures of the Ministry of Justice, a new system was developed for processing Naturalization requests, called “Sistema Naturalizar-se”. However, if the electronic system has not been implemented in the applicant's place of residence, the Naturalization process may be presented in person at one of the units of the Federal Police.
Interministerial Ordinance MJ / MESP nº 11, of May 3, 2018, is hereby revoked.
